The summer months can be very hot, making midday hikes challenging, while winter can bring rain and cooler temperatures.

Practical Tips for Your Visit

Knidos is located about 35 kilometers from Datça town, and can be reached by car or dolmuş (minibus). The drive itself is scenic, winding through the peninsula's picturesque villages and along the coast. The site is open daily from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM (summer) and until 5:00 PM (winter). There is an entrance fee.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat, as there is little shade. Combine your visit with a stop at the nearby Datça Vineyard or the ancient city of Burgaz for a full day of exploration. The small café at the entrance offers refreshments and a place to rest.
