Pamukkale, meaning 'Cotton Castle' in Turkish, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring stunning white travertine terraces formed by calcium-rich thermal waters cascading down a hillside over thousands of years.
Above the terraces sits Hierapolis, a remarkably preserved ancient Greco-Roman city founded in the 2nd century BC. The highlight for many visitors is Cleopatra's Antique Pool — swim among submerged Roman columns in warm, mineral-rich water.
